At the Gunzesrieder-Säge parking lot there is about 15cm, in general there is a continuous layer of snow here. Unfortunately there wasn't really any fresh snow from Monday to Tuesday or it was blown away by the wind. From the Rappengschwend-Alpe it is about 30 cm and there are very variable differences on the whole tour. Where the wind wasn't present, a good 40-50 cm came together, ground contact can't be prevented but can be minimized with an anticipatory driving style.

Light, loose powder in areas protected from the wind. Otherwise rather compact and windswept in the ridges. The thermometer went up to +2 degrees in the further half of the day.

Risks

As the tour is rather sheltered from the wind, we were able to avoid "the" problem. On the Bleicherhorn we could see how the drift snow had shifted and all the hollows and gullies were filled. On the summit ascent to the Tennenmooskopf, which had 30-35 degrees, we couldn't see any danger signs, but there was still a lot of snow missing here. I would agree with the 1er from the LLB, the wind had really picked up in the ridges and transported a lot of snow.

It was pretty busy today. Even at the parking lot you had to queue for 10 minutes to get a ticket. Nevertheless, we were able to enjoy the beautiful weather and a varied tour. We finally had some peace and quiet in the open area. Tip: download the Parkster app beforehand..... this saves you a lot of time and you don't have to queue!
