Snow condition
Some rock contact on the south side if you get a little steep. Hochgrat parking lot is open and Gunzesrieder Säge too. A lot going on... but the terrain is very spread out. Brunnenauscharte does not require crampons.
Snow quality
North-facing ascent completely in powder, unfortunately far too little base to ski down sensibly. On the south side, the best turns can be made on the flat. Surfy, slightly warmed powder. Nice and sizzling to ride. Good snow conditions towards Sipplinger. Not enough in the forest here yet though
Risks
Much more relaxed than in Kleinwalsertal. Except on the steep northern slopes next to the Brunnenau-Scharte Hochgrat and Rindalphorn Nord, there is no drift snow.
Overall impression
Foothills make more sense right now than high up. Snow may still arrive soon. It's wonderful that it's white right down to the valley.
