South of the Tauern Tunnel there is a good 1.5m of snow. The snowfall on Saturday or from Saturday to Sunday resulted in about 10-15cm of fresh snow. Exposed ridges are sometimes blown away.
Snow quality
Close to the ridge and in sunny areas there is a light cover on the surface in the forest and shady areas the snow is still loose. Below 1300, the warm temperatures make it difficult.
Risks
We have seen some loose snow slides on the south side. However, the thickness is rather low. On the north side, there were some larger drifts.
Overall impression
Better than expected and certainly worth a visit.
