Snow report Obertauern, 02/25/2015
Update Obertauern: Flaches Licht, zerfahrene und überfüllte Hänge dominieren heute. Leider weit nicht so gut wie gestern.

Unfortunately, I still can't give more than 3 stars for the snow conditions. But all in all quite ok
Snow quality
The snow has settled a bit over night, about 5 cm have been added since yesterday and the wind has still been blowing a bit. All in all, not quite as good as yesterday, especially because it was already pretty choppy and the harsh snow is coming through...
Risks
Still quite tense. The fresh snow has not really bonded well with the hard layer of old snow and some of the gullies and hollows have been blown in very heavily. Even away from the crest, you can see very clear signs of wind on open slopes. Sometimes you can hear the sound of whamming and when crossing you can see how unstable the snow cover is. Some smaller boards could be observed
Overall impression
Many freeriders and especially those who want to become one! Sometimes very alarming where people tumble down in a pack, sometimes without a backpack. Russian and possibly Czech shouting characterizes the acoustic background.
