Snow condition
At the end of October, all was still well with the snow. Now, if you don't look at the south-facing slopes, it looks like winter. However, the snow conditions are lousy and activities away from the snow-covered slopes are more or less impossible. A few centimetres of fresh snow fell overnight, but it was of the wet variety. The little snow on the windward slopes was blown away by the strong wind.
Snow quality
The slopes were nice to ski on in the morning with just a few centimetres of fresh snow. As the day progressed, the Christmas vacationers arrived and some of the slopes turned into ice.
Risks
There are virtually no activities possible in the terrain at the moment, so the risk of avalanches is not an issue at the moment. However, the strong winds have transported a lot of snow. As a result, the first accumulations of drift snow are forming on the leeward side, the thickness of which should still be quite manageable at the moment. However, this could change after a significant snowfall.
Overall impression
Quite nice for a few hours, then it got crowded and time to go. Christmas, lots of people, hardly any snow, there are nicer scenarios...
