Snow condition

105 cm fresh snow
Blown backs
Variations of snow cover

We've had between 60-120cm over the last few days, depending on orientation and altitude, but certain terrain traps are still open and the wind has exposed or only slightly covered stones on ridges and crests. I skied a fat coreshot into the rental skis...

Powder snow

Of course, there was wind in places and it wasn't super champagne powder everywhere, but there was no bad wind cover, no slab powder and no other annoying types of snow. It doesn't get much better than this!

Risks

Cracking (When entering the snow cover)
Fresh avalanches
Much fresh snow
Woom- or hissing noise
South-West West North-West

Wind intensity: Medium (20 – 40 km/h)

Extremely tricky, never seen so many avalanches and yesterday it must have really gone off - in the truest sense of the word. Avalanches were observed in every exposure and some of them were really big and tore through deep layers. Strong westerly winds from the afternoon onwards, so still dangerous.

Avalanche activity

Dry slab avalanche (medium)

The last day of our trip due to the material...and what a day it was! With restraint, we still managed a lot today and the already incredible journey has been enriched by a final chapter. Thanks to Sunlight's loyal companion, we were able to experience so much that will resonate for a long time to come. PS: Thanks also to Lilian, whom we chatted up in the elevator and who spontaneously took us with him to show us the area. It turned out later that he is a gifted blogger himself (ski-libre.com) and has known Powderguide.com for years.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
