Snow quality
Powder usually already dry from the wind in the shady areas and then sometimes away on the windward side, covered or pressed
Wind drifted snow
Intensity: medium
Above: 2200 m
Risks
Wind intensity: Medium (20 – 40 km/h)
We saw cracked boards at altitude (+3000), presumably drift snow triggered by ski tourers on the ascent. In the same expo further down approx. 2400 the photographed blasting sequences behind a ridge
Avalanche activity
Dry slab avalanche (small)
Altitude: 2500 m
See picture and text above
Overall impression
We worked hard but were exhausted at some point. We didn't make it as far as the lift gorge, and we rode off into the sunset towards the Swiss Sea with happy grins on our faces.
The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.
Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
