From Vršič Pass to the peaks of Maistrocchie. Good snow cover; once you’ve ascended the gully, you need to remove your skis and continue on foot along the ridge until you reach the saddle, where the slopes begin to lead up to the peaks. The snow is very compact and skiable, especially at the top. Be cautious of exposed rocks. The initial gully was quite icy and battered from the large number of people who had ascended it with crampons during the day.
