The snow conditions are now pretty good. At least 60cm of fresh snow has probably been added here in the last 2 days. Skiing down to the valley is possible without any problems.

It doesn't get much worse than this. In Ischgl we found catastrophic conditions today. Apparently it rained up to 2300m yesterday evening. Above that, the wind has done quite a job. At the summit ridges there is no snow at all in places and otherwise the snow is pretty blown away and crumbly hard.

Risks

Quite critical today. According to the LLB, the situation has eased a little, but this is mainly because most of the self-releases are already down. No matter where you looked today, you could see avalanches or wind signs. At the moment, it's better to stay on the pistes, if only because it's simply no fun off-piste.

As almost all the pistes in Ischgl were closed today, which meant that all hell was breaking loose, we spontaneously went to See. At least there was hardly anything going on there. I hadn't expected the conditions to be so bad.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!

Thank you for your contribution to the PowderGuide project!
