There is a bit more snow than average. You could probably get down to the valley in the forest without touching the ground.

Snow quality

Presumably some of the sun had already set and shaped the snow yesterday. In the morning it was still very good at the top, but towards midday it was already very difficult from the top. From the tree line, it was very difficult all day.

Risks

A lot of blasting was done in advance, with great success in some cases and a correspondingly large extent. No new avalanches were seen today. I would say that the warming is good for the snowpack as a whole if it settles accordingly, it remains to be seen what the temperatures will do over the next few days.

Overall impression

3 von 5 Sterne

We set off without any expectations and were rewarded with a window of sunshine throughout the morning. Good snow until midday and above the tree line.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!

Thank you for your contribution to the PowderGuide project!
