30cm of fresh snow, so that the old tracks were almost imperceptible. It had rained in the valley in the evening and snowed about 10cm during the night. Below approx. 1500m there is too little base, above that it's ok.

The fresh snow was loose and barely packed. Around noon it got warm and then heavy below about 1500 m, wet in the valley.

Risks

In the areas where we were today, the snow was not affected by much wind (below 2500m). The old snow seemed well connected to the new snow and we did not observe any avalanche activity. However, the increasing temperature rise will play a role over the next few days.

Overall impression

A really good day. It was still snowing until midday and then it started to clear up. The fresh snow was enough that you hardly had any contact with the hard old snow. Only very rarely in the forest, when it was steeper, did you get through to the hard crust. It's a shame that it's getting warm again now.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
