Down in the valley is unrealistic, but up in the Alps many variants are easy to ride. Stones, if any, are clearly visible. The area around the Piz Val Gronda is still very worthwhile.

Snow quality

2 von 5 Sterne

Everything is nice and rideable. About 5cm of fresh snow is doing well on the solid base. There is also dust on the north side above 2200. No real firn, as it didn't clear overnight.

Risks

According to LLB level 2 with diurnal cycle. Hardly any warming above 2300. Hardly any loose snow avalanches due to warming observed. Fresh snow is not enough for big boards, although there was wind. We did see one base avalanche. Whether new or old is not clear.

Overall impression

3 von 5 Sterne

Many variants are possible and the small edition was fun!
