Snow condition
Well, there's probably more artificial snow in Ischgl than anywhere else. In terms of the pistes, a great deal of effort was put into smoothing out the slopes so that all open pistes could be skied reasonably well. Some of the steeper slopes on the pistes also had stones on them. A detour into the terrain was rather out of the question...the further Samnaun was approached, the greener it became. In addition, the little snow that was available was also diligently transported by the gusty wind.
Snow quality
At around 0°C at 2000m, the artificial snow was moderately skiable, but Mrs. Holle is urgently expected!
Risks
Avalanches are less likely. Due to the lack of snow, falls or rockfall are more likely.
Overall impression
It was just ok for piste skiing, but freeriding is out of the question at the moment!
The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.
Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
