Exposition
Snow condition
Snow in sheltered gullies from 2100m. On the ascent up to 2500m on the hiking trail, which was mostly free of snow. No crevasses visible on the glacier.
Snow quality
At 12 o'clock southeast from 3300m to 2200m good skiable firn. At the very top the last snowfall had not yet completely transformed. Dew point was below -30 degrees, if it's different you have to be there a few hours earlier.
Risks
Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)
1s at all altitudes, finally larger flanks with low risk possible. The old snow problem still exists in very isolated places.
Overall impression
The first "spring tour" this year. Even though I normally prefer powder, I'm happy to explore new peaks on a firn tour for a change. The road is snow-free up to the last parking lot at 1800m. Should be possible for a few more days with a similar route - but the stones between the snow fields are increasing. This was no problem in the firn, as you could see them all and didn't sink in deeply.
