Snow condition
Glacier well snowed in, but everything away from it pretty bad. Descent from Mittelbergjoch to the glacier possible, but watch out for stones. Wildspitze summit ascent with thin snow cover. Crampons not absolutely necessary, but still pleasant. After leaving the Taschachferner, watch out for stones again. During the course of the day, snow showers came through from time to time, quite heavy in the afternoon.
Video
Snow quality
West gully between north and south summit hard but easy to ride. The standard route is like a highway. But you can still find untracked sections if you have visibility. It was very poor today, especially between 3200 and 2500 in the afternoon. Best slope today N between 3400m and 3300m with uncapped powder. Much of it has a wind cap. Below the glacier there were also one or two good pieces with powder.
Risks
Wind intensity: No Wind (0 km/h)
No wind today. There is still a problem with old snow, but no danger on the standard route. Otherwise, keep the usual things in mind on the glacier
Overall impression
Changing visibility but a great atmosphere and the best slope with sunshine. Then poking around in the fog, which wasn't a problem because of the many tracks.
