Wildspitze Nordwand + Hinterer Brochkogel Nord
Snow condition

Overall impression
Snow condition
The snow conditions on the Taschachferner are very good. Many crevasses are well filled. You can probably ski all the way down from the Taschach valley.
Snow quality
In the north face of the Wildspitze from the middle and in the right gully of the Hinterer Brochkogel, the snow was still powdery, but influenced by the wind. Otherwise, a stable cover formed during the clear night, which firns up well with the right timing.
Risks
Watch out for wet and sliding snow in the high temperatures. Some people also skied out of the Taschachtal valley in the afternoon. The ascent back to the Mittelbergjoch would definitely be the safer option.
Overall impression
19.04. + 20.04.:
Two beautiful days in the Pitztal with the ascent of the Wildspitze north face and the Hinterer Brochkogel. Relatively good steep face conditions. The scenery there is simply stunning. Camping on the glacier was also a memorable experience.
Wildspitze north face: In the uppermost part lookers left the wall is blank. Unfortunately, only a few centimetres of snow on ice from the middle. If you want to descend the wall, it is better to stick to the ridge first and cross a little further down into the wall (only advisable from about the middle). The ascent is a bit of a scramble up to the bergschrund. After that, it's good to go if you feel comfortable even in steeper, hard and sometimes icy conditions.
Brochkogel north face: A large slab of snow fell in the gully lookers left a week ago. It looks hard and icy there. The right gully still had powdery snow, which was good for descending.
Petersenspitze north face probably at the top riders right blank. Was skied a little further riders left. Taschachwand was also skied by other people, probably also had quite good conditions.
