There have been much worse conditions in October. The pistes are all easy to ski on, sometimes a little icy. Only partly good enough for off-piste.
Snow quality
Due to the light snowfall yesterday, powdery snow predominates and now and again the ice appears.
Risks
The greatest danger at the moment is probably still from the crevasses, but the risk of avalanches should not be underestimated. The wind has transported the few centimetres of fresh snow and the risk of triggering an avalanche is high, especially on steep, shady slopes. Below the gondola just before the summit station, two slabs have already been triggered today.
Overall impression
Nice first day of skiing with a few turns in the powder snow:)
