Below-average snow conditions. Limited touring options in terrain with large boulders. However, some snow has now accumulated in hollows, so that you can get down well if you ski with foresight. Glacier acceptably snow-covered.

Powder snow

Beautiful, cold powder snow at altitude. Approx. 10-15cm on a soft layer of old snow. Nice to ski. On the east side, the snow held up well until midday (> 2400m).

Risks

Old snow problem
North North-Eas North-West

Wind intensity: Low (< 20 km/h)

Avalanche cracks and snow slabs can be seen in steeper terrain. The problem of old snow still seems to be very critical. The current motto is to seek out flat terrain and avoid outcrops on steeper slopes.

Overall impression

Equal

Great weather, good powder and some nice turns. "Fashionable tours" are not a bad choice with the prevailing old snow problem.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
