Sunshine galore in the Pyrenees
Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Snow condition
The big snowfall in the Pyrenees often only comes in January/February, but the last time I experienced as little snow as this year was in 2012. White artificial snow bands criss-cross the landscape, it only gets really white from 2200-2500 m upwards. Below that, everything is green, which is no wonder at almost 15 degrees in the shade at 1700 m around midday
Snow quality
Artificial snow or ice, at night it is cold enough to make snow.
Risks
No snow - no avalanches. Everything above 2500 seems to be extremely icy and hard
Overall impression
It's been sunny for weeks and there's no end in sight. With a few exceptions (Puigmal, Camporells, a few couloirs in the Cadis and on the Cambre d'Aze), ski touring is out for now. So work on your technique and complexion!
