There is virtually no carpet pad in the Capcir, but it looks better in the Cerdagne (especially towards Puigmal) with up to 1m carpet pad.

Fluffy, nice and fluffy when cold. That's how it should be
Risks
It has only just started to snow. So far, no significant amount of fresh snow has accumulated... There is also no base, so watch out for sharks!
Overall impression
Beautiful sunny days, then snowfall towards the end. Unfortunately a bit too late for us. As always, February could be a good month for touring in the Pyrenees.
