Snow condition
It's unbelievable how much snow there is here, and with a view of Africa. It starts at 2000 m, then rises very quickly to 2-3 m at 2500 m, then 1-2 m more towards the summit (3400). It is interesting, however, that the Mulhacen (neighboring summit and a little higher) is almost completely free of snow (blown off?).
Snow quality
Frozen rain everywhere in the morning, which made the whole thing quite slippery. Slopes hard until 12 o'clock, then nice and icy. Very nice to ski on and off the piste. The top remained very hard almost all the time.
Risks
Surprisingly, despite the high temperatures in the afternoon, no major outflows were observed, not even from the previous days. Doing steep things in the morning, due to the western location of Spain in the same time zone as Germany, the sun is not yet as high at 12 in Central Europe.
Overall impression
Only one day on the slopes from Granada, but it was surprisingly good. This is due in particular to the exceptionally good snow conditions this winter (± full operation until 6 May!), but also to the 1400 vertical meters that can be skied and the fantastic views to Andalusia and Africa. Next time, bring your touring skis - you can do something here!
