We had expected more of a base from the last snowfall. I think you have to look further east of the Dachstein for that. So existing snow actually only from the current stau. Differently distributed. Combs often blown off. In very wind-protected areas it also gets very deep, up to about 1m. Otherwise an average of 50 to almost 70 new. With luck it's enough for forest fun, but ground contact is unavoidable.

Top, much slightly wind-processed but still good. Wind-protected at its best.

Risks

Of course, we were traveling defensively. We were able to observe a crack edge of approx. 30 cm. With the low temperatures, everything is certainly quite brittle. Restraint is the order of the day, even with the fine weather tomorrow.

First real winter feeling, which is of course fun. It snowed all day today and in the evening there was another 15 cm of new snow on the roof of the car. Snow-covered roads on the drive home are also very nice.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
