From around 1900m down to 800m there was enough snow to be able to ski carefree. At the summit, a strong north / north-west wind blew down the ridges to the ice. The forests are well filled and flat passages should be skied with enough momentum, otherwise it will be difficult. Very dry in the upper layers and after about 40cm it gets harder.

The quality in the wind-protected parts was very good and exactly what you want. 120mm under the binding was just enough for sufficient buoyancy. We skipped the open and storm-worked sections today to be on the safe side. It was a 4 after all.

Risks

As I said, due to the 4 and the poor visibility, we avoided anything that looked even remotely dangerous. There was blasting on the mountain in the morning and that should have set alarm bells ringing for everyone.

The weather could have been better but, as we all know, you don't play the wish list when skiing. Otherwise it was a nice half day in the backcountry near the ski resort.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
