Very good snow conditions here too, although much less than a little further north, but you can actually ski everywhere, even in the denser forest and all the way down into the valley.

Mostly still very good, settled powder snow, often on a hard base on which you rarely get through, but interestingly on south-facing slopes below approx. 1600 m a thin layer of melted snow, which was quite annoying when skiing.

Risks

I actually found it quite relaxed. I wouldn't plunge into every steep slope just yet, but it does make a pretty stable impression. Although there still seems to be an unfamiliar kind of restraint, steeper slopes were also skied, especially in the touring area (e.g. from Krahbergzinken) and I couldn't discover any cracks or similar. you should be careful below steep south-facing slopes, with the sun and the warmer temperatures, some snow does fall down there, but more as moist loose snow.

Great day. With short hikes, there was still plenty of untracked terrain to be found and the snow was also pretty good for the most part...

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
