Plenty of snow in the Kleinsölktal valley, but much less than in the typical north-facing congested areas.
Snow quality
Powdery fresh snow below the tree line (approx. 10 cm by early afternoon) on old, settled snow. Windy/stormy at the top and drifting snow.
Risks
Tricky. New snow has not yet bonded to the old snow and fresh snow packs slide off immediately when loaded from critical steepness (slightly over 30 degrees). We have released 2 mini snowboards remotely and there is a strong storm in the ridge area.
Overall impression
Beautiful slopes, which were somewhat spoiled at the top by the poor snow quality. Very fine below the tree line.
