The entrance to the tunnel is clear and easy to pass. The path to the descent is well trodden or shoveled out. There is enough snow in the upper and middle sections to ski down without coming into contact with stones, but the lower section to the traverse is a little more "gravelly" and requires a bit of feeling when skiing. Due to the 15 to 20 cm of fresh snow, the stones are wonderfully covered so that they are easy to pick up.

Today it was only sunny at the very top. It felt like 20 degrees in this area and so the snow was a bit heavy. In the foggy middle section there was a 15 to 20 cm layer of fresh snow on a 1 to 2 cm thick crust of broken harsh snow covering a very wet snowpack. In the last third, there was around 10 cm of fresh snow on a very hard crust.

Risks

Between 10 and 20 cm of fresh snow without wind influence on well-settled fresh snow at higher elevations. No special incidents.LWS 2 above the tree line

Unfortunately, you can't choose the weather. Beautiful but unfortunately foggy day with nice turns on the Dachstein.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
