Enough snow even on the route we chose (full south-facing slope). On the less sun-exposed slopes of the Planneralm, practically anything can be skied, even if there are of course more mountain pines and bushes visible than usual.
Snow quality
You expect firn on spring skiing and we found it. We skied down from the summit (just under 2100m) at around 10:30 and had just the right amount of firn on a steep, direct south-facing slope. It was still hard on the south-west side, but then again picture-book firn on the lower, flatter, direct south-facing slopes.
Risks
Very relaxed when observing the diurnal cycle. Interestingly, there are hardly any signs of sliding snow avalanche activity in the Planneralm area (and also in the neighboring valleys).
Overall impression
Even though the Sahara dust clouded the sunlight a little, it was another bluebird day. This time we didn't even start looking for dry, loose snow and switched to the sunny side straight away and found the firn. After the morning tour, we then went for some relaxed skiing on the almost completely empty Planneralm.
