There is definitely snow, but not in huge quantities. Either there was less here in January than in other areas or some of it has already melted again despite the rather high altitude. In addition, the familiar picture of slopes above the tree line, some of which are completely blown away.

A little bit of fresh snow, but firstly it was too little to cover the very rough, hard frozen and blown or crushed base, and it was also blown away by the wind, i.e. partly 15cm on uneven ice, partly 0cm on ice, so unfortunately there wasn't much to be gained today in this respect.

Risks

There are also some impressive wet snow and gliding snow slides here. The fresh snow will pose a danger in places where enough of it has been blown into a slope, but should be easy to recognize and manage. With the high temperatures, you will have to watch out for warming.

Well. At least the weather was nice.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
