Snow condition

The snow conditions are still good, but they have definitely decreased at lower altitudes. Below 1000m there is almost nothing left or not enough to ski on, but as you go up it quickly becomes more and slowly some snow remains above the tree line.

Snow quality

In the morning at 1000m there was about 5cm of completely wet fresh snow, then at the tree line 25cm of quite wet and compact fresh snow, but it was very easy to ski. You couldn't get through the rather compact snow onto the base, at least not above 1300 m. There were only occasional face shots.

Risks

Critical, the 3 was definitely justified. Not really much wind until midday, but the snow was still bound everywhere and as it warmed up, it got really unpleasant from about midday onwards, the snowpack tore everywhere that was steep enough, so I left it alone. With increasing wind, warming and more snowfall, the avalanche situation doesn't get any better.

Overall impression

4 von 5 Sterne

Better than expected, and a practically empty ski area. Could be worse.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
