Snow conditions are still ok for the end of April. It's still easy to start from the parking lot on the slopes and next to them, and it will stay that way for a while, but as has been the case all winter, there isn't a huge amount of snow, especially higher up the slopes are slowly melting.

There wasn't much fresh snow, at the Planneralm it was about 3 cm, further up there wasn't really any more, the fresh snow lay on a crust that wasn't really hard, the melting crust was probably softened by the rain. As the ground was quite even, it was actually quite nice to ride.

Risks

With the warming, there is a risk of wet snow avalanches, especially on shady slopes, but overall I wouldn't overestimate the situation as there wasn't really much precipitation.

Less fresh snow than expected, but still quite nice.
Not really the conditions for a "proper" ski tour today, but ok to walk up the closed ski area.
Still good for a while, with clear nights the snow quality will also improve again.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
