Dachstein via Randkluftsteig today in "slightly" windy conditions

Snow condition
There's definitely snow at the top. You can already do a bit in the terrain! However, some of the crevasses are still very wide open and you have to be very careful.
Snow quality
Cruel to drive on slab powder. The wind (or storm) has really pressed the powdery snow!
Risks
From my point of view, it's still rather dangerous at the moment. The fresh snow lies on a hard layer from the last warm spell. However, the wind is really moving it around. The problem: the wind came from all directions today and so nothing has really accumulated anywhere. It's actually a strange situation, but we couldn't see any real drift snow packs anywhere today, and crevasses are currently a big danger! The descent to the Wiesberghaus is not really possible. Crevasses without end! On the Gosau Glacier at about Steinerscharte level there is also quite a belt of crevasses, and on the approach to the Randkluftsteig there are also the usual crevasses. But you can avoid these without any major problems!
Overall impression
Even though it was pretty bad for skiing today, it was another cool day! It was quite windy, but there was nothing going on and the view at the summit was fantastic!
