Snow condition
Very little snow. Descent via the Hallstätter Glacier in the direction of the Simonyhütte up to about 2000m possible. The glacier ice is partly open. You should choose your tracks carefully on the descent.
Snow quality
Almost everything was there (except powder) and tended to be rather poor. Light firn in the sun, otherwise hard snow and some glacier ice.
Risks
The main dangers are crevasses, rocks and the risk of falling.
Overall impression
Not much going on, great weather and a bit of exercise therapy, people are now satisfied with very little...
