Snow condition
On the southern slopes of the valley, the slopes are slowly turning green and the flowers are starting to grow. On the shady side, there is usually still enough snow to be able to ski down into the valley.
Snow quality
At the very top, there was mostly stable harsh snow on the open areas, which firned up during the day. Thanks to the strong wind, it didn't get really deep at the top. But as soon as you reach the tree line it gets really bad. The conditions change from turn to turn between harsch, broken harsch and knee-deep sulz.
Risks
It was easy to see that some small to medium-sized boards have actually come off in all expos over the past few days. Today was relatively relaxed because the wind prevented the top layer from softening too much. When it gets warm, however, you should stay away from the steep open slopes, no matter which expo. Underneath the harsch cover, which is about 2-5 cm thick, the snow cover is soaked through to the ground from the rain.
Overall impression
As always, the main thing is to be out in the fresh air
