Not really enough to ski properly. Where the wind was active, either everything has blown off (see pictures) or the first accumulations of drift snow are already forming, but these are still very visible. We were on the way up to the tree line, with up to 60 cm in somewhat sheltered corners at the top. Towards the bottom and with the influence of the wind, the snow quickly diminished. To really be able to ski properly, there is still around 40 cm missing. It was a nice downhill tinkering today. We were mainly in the northern sector.

In the north, nice powder snow, unfortunately just a little too little. On the sunny side there was a very thin cover in the morning, but this disappeared during the day and the snow was still quite solid there. As mentioned above, our focus was on the shady north.

Risks

Quite relaxed on our tour. We couldn't see anything except a lack of snow on the surrounding mountains either. We dug a quick snow profile in the sheltered north-east sector at around 33°. Total snow depth approx. 60 cm, of which the top 25 cm was settled powder, below that 2 layers of ice and at the bottom approx. 15 cm of accumulating transformation (see pictures). However, the weak layers could only be addressed by a very strong impulse.

Another super sunny day, but the amount of snow and therefore the possibilities were very limited. Hopefully that will change over the next few days...
