Snow condition
On average approx. 30cm of powdered snow from the north, fallen directly onto the ground or a thin layer of old snow. Partly blown away by the wind, but no problems getting to the car without stone skis. Certainly more after the end of the tour at 14.00.
Snow quality
Good powder, not champagne - but definitely a very good prosecco.
Risks
Very defensive ski tour, much in the forest, therefore drift snow only visible in the summit area.
Overall impression
It's definitely on. Nice introductory tour in the wind-protected Heutal. Visibility rather poor - but I'm happy to put up with the snowfall....
