Zaghaftes Rutschen im Pisten- und Almgelände
Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Snow condition
Still inadequate. Proper off-road driving is only possible with care. You can get through almost everywhere if you ride with pressure and speed, and there is a total of between 20 and 50 cm at 1600 m. Nothing works in the forest and further up everything is completely blown over.
Snow quality
Partly very cool, cold blower pow, but the depth is insufficient. In a north-facing field, there were some nasty, rock-hard ice boulders lurking under the layer of fresh powder snow. Apart from that, you have to watch out for other organic or mineral material.
Risks
Moderate to low. The Bavarian situation report speaks of a 2 up to 1500m. I was up to 1900 and couldn't have noticed any difference there. It's been heavily loaded - the higher elevations are really bare - but I have no idea where it all went. The fresh snow and recognizable drift snow lies completely stress-free on the sometimes very rough surface structure.
Overall impression
Ok, at least something happened, but unfortunately you can't really ride off-road yet. It was relatively busy, but of course, there's not much else going on.
Nice, cold weather: -12C at the start, but quickly warmer in the sun.
There's now a small base on the open spaces, but a meter on top would be urgently needed!
