Snow condition
Well, downhill runs are of course still to be forgotten. It's tricky in the middle forest areas because everything looks good but the base is very thin. I fell through several times today, so you have to be careful. When hopping around, you should also be very aware of what's underneath - it's about the same in the lower and middle areas as it is at the end of November.
Snow quality
In the morning very cool, cold & fine, but from about 10:00 it warmed up quickly, then it got quite dull and gloppy at the bottom and unfortunately a bit slow. Sometimes you could feel the old tracks, but it was still fine and there was enough untracked snow.
Risks
The situation report today was very drastic. I was only out and about defensively in the forest on the north side between 1000-1400m today, so I can't confirm the 3 indicated for the forest areas. Mostly unbound and fluffy, then later clearly settled with the warmth. However, there were strong signs of wind above. This will remain critical in the high altitudes over the next few days!
Overall impression
Very nice morning, especially in the morning. There was quite a lot going on (1000s of kids and bar riders), but there was nobody in the terrain.
Great snow in the morning, but it needs a lot more to have fun down there too.
Unfortunately, it got disgustingly warm around midday.
Nonetheless, it's a start again...
