Bus 2 Ride
Snow condition
Snow quality
Overall impression
Snow condition
As always: really good. The lower positions are also well occupied and you can actually ride everything.
Snow quality
Where it's not tracked, it's mega good. Cold powder, 15-25cm deep, at 1500m also on the east side (4*). Occasionally you can feel harder, lower layers, but a lot of it has already been skied a lot, but you can still find nice areas. Towards the bottom, the cover gets worse, sometimes easier, easy to smash, but sometimes quite hard in the lowest parts of the valley. (2-3*).
Risks
Basically relatively moderate in the middle and lower areas. The soft snow is well settled and no tension or weak layers were noticeable in the areas where we were out and about. However, the cornices and fish mouths, which are sometimes slightly covered in snow, are sometimes massive. The danger decreases somewhat with the cold, but some of them are already massive.
Overall impression
Very nice day in the best company. It's great to take the bus up the mountain, then spend two hours maltreating a short, untracked powder slope and then have a 1000-metre descent down to the valley floor!
Nice weather, but very cold.
