Snow condition
Still clearly below average. Until yesterday, about 20-30 cm were added over the weekend. In the middle layers there are now from 0cm (ridges, crests, etc. are swept bare) to 30-50cm on average up to about a meter in heavily consecrated areas.you still have to expect enemy contact, but can also pull through if the base is suitable.
Snow quality
(***_****) Overall somewhat variable, but definitely on the better side.nice, soft pow in the calmer areas, although not quite as easy.then still partly slab powder, hard-packed and somewhat dull drift snow.
Risks
The LLB gives a 2 up to the tree line, I would sign that. Today, too, the unpleasant wind from the W-NW is causing heavy drifts. Some of the east-south-east slopes are quite heavily blown in.
Overall impression
Quite nice. Unfortunately, there is still very little base and the wind has damaged the good snow in some places.
It was interesting that there was relatively little going on today, but judging by the snow-covered tracks, it must have been pretty busy on Sunday (with a snowstorm and zero visibility).
Overall, the gentler, alpine meadow tours in the region are going quite well. But nothing in the forest yet. There are also higher tours in the rocky regions, but in my opinion that's nonsense.
The foundation has been laid and maybe we'll escape another catastrophic winter after last year's bad one.
