The base in the protected northern reservoir area is now excellent. I can't remember a better time in recent years. Today we had intensive track work again with 40 cm to 50 cm of fresh snow. Our focus today was below 1700 m in the north and east exposures. Everything in the forest is actually skiable.

Deep fluffy powder, it could hardly be better here! No wind influence, no hard crusts under the fresh snow, simply a dream.

Risks

We took a very defensive approach to the tour today after our experiences on Thursday. Fortunately, it was quite stable for us today (we were only up to around 1700 m). There were no signs of wind in the descent area and the amount of sluff was very manageable today. We could hear the sound of loose snow sliding from a steeper south face a few times.

It could hardly be better!

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
