Snow condition
Another 20-30cm of snow fell overnight. You can slide back down into the valley with difficulty. Below 1000m, however, contact with the enemy is obligatory in the forest. Due to the heavy rain, however, a lot of the snow has now been evaporated again, and in the middle and especially the high altitudes, the snow conditions are above average where there is no wind.
Snow quality
Unfortunately, it had already started to rain in the morning and the beautiful Pow was very wet and accordingly slow. Too bad, we should have started really early. Waxing certainly wouldn't have hurt either.
Risks
Critical overall. I was very defensive today and only went up to 1200m. There wasn't enough snow for avalanches at the bottom, and there were a few wet snow slides in the steep terrain, but they were still quite small. It was also quite windy at higher altitudes.
Overall impression
Unfortunately, I only got going relatively late, which could have been better. But it was also really nice to be able to slide halfway down into the valley again (at least for a short time).
Overall, it was more of a training tour, a few tons stuck to my skis and skins... :P
I'm curious to see how much is left of the week and how things will continue.
