You have to make a clear distinction: quite good in the lower to middle altitudes (up to the tree line). (3*) You can also ski down into the valley in the dense forest, hardly get through anywhere below and can also accelerate from time to time.above the tree line rather only 1-2*. Heavily blown-off areas alternate with more or less filled gullies. Defensive riding is the order of the day here because sharks are lurking everywhere.

Very changeable, but generally on the better side. At higher altitudes, everything from loose drift snow to crushed harsh snow to hard, heavily wind-affected areas. On the whole, however, it's quite rideable, and in the forest the beautiful, settled powder is a lot of fun. Narrow sections and forest trails heavily rutted and tracked.

Risks

Low in the lower areas, very strong subsidence. The 2 in the higher elevations is okay, some areas are already heavily blown in. However, the snowpack is very inhomogeneous, often with a blanket and small-scale changes, with some large base avalanches and snow mouths on steep, south-facing grassy slopes.

Long, beautiful tour with nice company and mostly passable snow, but the persistent S-W wind and the toboggan run-like narrow sections in the forest were annoying... This was the first tour in high alpine terrain for me this season and I have to say, I don't have to go there again before the next snowfall... It's so much better in the forest at the moment, but it's getting more and more difficult to find worthwhile, untracked terrain.

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
