Overall impression
Snow condition
South-facing tour starting at just over 900 m. Ascent and descent were possible without any problems. There is currently a decent amount of snow. More or less no danger of encountering obstacles. The classic wind-exposed sections are once again exposed high up in the Alps. Sometimes you come across old nodules and avalanches. However, these can be avoided without any problems.
Snow quality
Looking for firn, found firn! Super downhill conditions. Departure around 12:45 and the timing was just right. Only the last few meters to the car were a bit deep.
Risks
Classic spring conditions here today. You should end the tours early again. Potential danger points, such as the transition from little to much snow at entrances, can be seen very clearly in the high Alps. Avalanches have already occurred in many gullies and we could also see numerous cracks.
Overall impression
Super firn day with quite summery temperatures in the end. Afterwards, the barbecue season was opened.
