Ein wenig Glück und feiner Schnee

Snow condition
Bad. Even on forest roads, you can hardly get down into the valley without interruption. Below 1200 m, there is hardly anything in the open, wilder terrain. From about 1400m it gets better, but not much anywhere. Over the weekend we got about 5-10 cm from 1400m upwards.
Snow quality
Bottom 1-2*: icy, rutted forest roads, broken snow, tracked larch forest between 1500-1700m 4*:Pretty cool! The fresh snow lies on a warm, moistened layer of snow, which is very cool to ski over: Then the layer of old snow becomes a hard cover, no longer so fine.
Risks
Moderate at the bottom. Either the amount of snow is too small, the terrain is too rough or the layers are very compact and change on a small scale, with drift snow also appearing in the forest from around 1600 m, and rather small amounts below 2000 m. Shortly before my destination, a small slab of snow came down probably the day before yesterday. The edge was about 30 cm wide and about 30 m wide. Not huge, but of course it can still be unpleasant.
Overall impression
For me, this was one of the better days of this miserable winter.
I was really lucky: there was a lot going on, but nobody went on my variant! Completely untracked and beautiful snow to boot. Yay!
Unfortunately, it's getting warmer now and the sad snow situation is becoming even more tragic...
