Snow condition

Still great, of course. In the last 24 hours, around 40cm have been added all the way down into the valley.

Snow quality

Mostly great: cold and light. The packed snow is also very pleasant to ski, and sometimes you get through to a hard layer of old snow, but rarely. Due to the drifts, you sometimes ski in quite deep powder banks (sometimes up to 1 m), although there are wind-influenced corners where, in addition to meter-high snow drifts, there can also be pressed stuff. But that was the absolute exception for me today.

The fresh snow has been transported massively for two days due to the strong winds. In the forest at low and medium altitudes, the whole thing is quite moderate and I wouldn't do anything above that at the moment. The drift snow reacts very brittle and is easy to trigger.

Overall impression

Great day, during which the initial fears (very busy - but no one in the terrain; strong wind - but surprisingly all lifts open) proved to be unfounded.
Actually, only first lines were on the agenda today.
It was also nice and wintry again - snowfall from morning to afternoon.
Tomorrow is sure to be very good too.
