There's practically nothing left in the valleys, you can only get all the way down on artificial snow bands, but in the middle altitudes (1500-1700m) where I was mainly out and about, it's a bit better than last week. On average, about 10-15 cm have been added in the last 2 days. But you have to expect enemy contact everywhere, I got a deep coreshot today...

The fresh snow is great. Cold, fluffy, dusty, but the catch is that there's not enough of course and that above about 1500m there's a layer of concrete underneath that you can always feel. This is particularly unpleasant when hopping around. At lower altitudes and in the sun, the snow is warm and somewhat slower.

Risks

Very little danger in the areas I was in today. The fresh snow is very loose and well bonded. There's a bit of loose snow in the steep terrain, but it's not critical given the volume. The old concrete snow cover is unlikely to move, but I can't say what it looks like at higher altitudes. The wind has always been present over the last few days, but the risk of injury from obstacles on the ground is high.

Quite an okay day for this winter.
It's very pleasant that there's suddenly a lot less going on again. Some areas were still untracked this afternoon.
Unfortunately, the old snow cover is really rock-hard, but otherwise the fresh snow is fine.
Unfortunately, the permanent problem of a lack of snow this year...
