Overall impression
Snow condition
Quite different in the various altitudes and areas. Up to 1000m you can ski well on the shaded side, at 1500m there is still a good 2m.summit areas often less and on the south side you have to go quite far up.in the north of the region there is significantly less snow.just under 3*.
Snow quality
Pretty good even sub-2000m. Slightly warmed up powder, but great for skiing, nice and fast butter firn in the shade, unfortunately braking snow in the sun, just under 4*.
Risks
Low in the morning. The snow cover is very compact at the bottom. The fresh snow from the beginning of the week is well settled at the top, and numerous slides can be seen on the sunny side due to the strong radiation.
Overall impression
Very nice tour with fine snow at the top, on a smaller summit, so the summit slope was exclusively mine and untracked.
The only thing you could complain about was the heat...
The higher classics in the Berchtesgaden region are all very popular.
You should start the tours by bike because otherwise you have to carry your bike almost everywhere from the deep valley.
