Forest tours in the Nordstau area again

Snow condition
From precipitation to precipitation, it got significantly better. If you look at the winter so far, some corners that are particularly sheltered in the nordstau have got a very good base on the north side. Roots, tree stumps etc. are not a problem.
Snow quality
Very fine powder snow. The snow had no wind influence in the sheltered forest and was super loose. During the course of the day, fog moved into the forest and it became a little heavier at lower altitudes (up to around 1300 m to 1400 m). Won't have the same high quality as today from tomorrow.
Risks
When making tracks, you could hear the snow settling from time to time (no booming noises!). On the east side, you could hear a massive roar from the high alpine terrain. Due to the poor visibility, you couldn't see anything. The danger is definitely very acute there. Today's light snowfall without much wind covers the danger spots. Watch out! A large avalanche has recently occurred in a wide northern gully. The avalanche edge is approx. 1 m and around 50 m wide. The amount of snow at the outlet was considerable. The descent probably happened during the warm phase.
Overall impression
Fine snow, no people and a feeling like the height of winter!
