Still thin at the bottom - the cosmetic cover makes it easy to overlook a few stones, but quite ok at the top.

If I only counted the area in the higher larch forests, it would be an even 5 stars. In addition to the 10cm from yesterday, there was another 10cm of calm and loose powder overnight. Nice and fluffy!

Risks

Relatively relaxed in the forest. The fresh snow has covered the old layers. A snow profile at approx. 2000m above sea level, north-facing exposure, inclination approx. 35° showed 30 cm of unbound fresh snow and a deep settled layer underneath from last week's snowfall. A weak layer could not be found and the block could not be released.

Very nice high winter day. Unfortunately, it got quite cloudy towards the end and from about 1300m above sea level it got pappy. Very fine in the high-altitude forests. There'll be more tomorrow, I'm looking forward to Tuesday.
