Nowadays, you have to carry your bike almost everywhere or fight your way downhill through long bike passages. However, you can still descend 1000 m on the longest tours. Many of the larger stones and rocks are now covered in snow, but due to the compact snow cover and careful riding, there are few problems with sharks.

Deep, slushy and wet up to 2200m. Interestingly, it was quite good on the last 200 m, where there was compact, grippy and fast summer firn.

Risks

Today the LLB was suitable with a 1 up to 1700m and above that a 2. I would advise against very steep and not yet unloaded slopes, otherwise manageable.

Somehow a very funny tour. I've rarely come home from a tour so wet (inside and out) and dirty (cycling). I also had to wipe the drizzle off my ski goggles every 20m or so on the descent (you'd need windshield wipers!). Because my hardshell was already completely soaked before the descent and it would have been too windy otherwise, I wrapped myself in the neo-orange emergency bivy sack. It worked really well and certainly looked very stylish...

Note on Conditions Reports

The ConditionsReports are user-generated content - from freeriders for freeriders! Recently, a distinction has been made between MiniReport, which offers a quick status report with location, image/video and text, and ProReport, which requires more detailed information and can be uploaded by advanced users.

Every registered user can enter the MiniReport in the WebApp, iOS app or Android app. If you would also like to upload ProReports, please write to us at conditionsreporter@powderguide.com so that we can activate it for you and briefly explain it to you!
If you need help with the operation or have suggestions for improvement, please write to us at app@powderguide.com!
